The referee ignored Duri come il marmo's protests and gave Ferruccio Ascani a yellow card for diving instead. Helge Elg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Malvezzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Kattvik kings were furious when Bernt Stigsson was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Kattvik kings's Bernt Stigsson got a free kick in the 40th minute. When Fulvio Di Crescenzo fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duri come il marmo's protests and gave Fulvio Di Crescenzo a yellow card for diving instead. Fulvio Di Crescenzo hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The Duri come il marmo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arrigo Del Grosso should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Kattvik kings's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Pietrantoni came free, but Helge Elg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kattvik kings's Helge Elg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Kattvik kings from getting a goal against them. After having played for 93 minutes, Karl-Åke Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kattvik kings's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
