The Gaviotas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Luke should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Gaviotas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians:s goal. Gaviotas FC:s Gavino Luke showed great skill when he stopped Allan do Valle:s penalty. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gaviotas FC! Víktor Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Luke having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Víktor Sarmento made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Luke. Gaviotas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godfredo Quinteros to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Henrique Rossi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Luke. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Sarmento in the 59th minute of play forced Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Gavino Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Quinteros struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jerônimo Campidelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaviotas FC.
