Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Gaviotas FC's Ildefonso Ortle started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adrian Bruhn charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Bruhn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when FC Wingspan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Bruhn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 3 minutes, Godfredo Quinteros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaviotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godfredo Quinteros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gaviotas FC's Ildefonso Ortle in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Wingspan's goalie prevented a goal. After 17 minutes FC Wingspan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Jonsson in the 19th minute of play forced Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Gavino Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Jonsson in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Luke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ildefonso Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Eckegren having to interfere. Godfredo Quinteros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ildefonso Ortle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gaviotas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Ortle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Eckegren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the game, Gaviotas FC's Ildefonso Ortle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mats Eckegren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the FC Wingspan defense, Godfredo Quinteros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mats Eckegren. The FC Wingspan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mats Eckegren should have stopped the shot. After the first half Gaviotas FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabian Jonsson to make the kick off. After 59 minutes, Fabian Jonsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Wingspan and the Gaviotas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Wingspan getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fabian Jonsson hit a great ball. Fabian Jonsson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Mats Eckegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Ortle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Wingspan's Hans Uter got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Gaviotas FC's Santiago Oliverio was substituted for Anastasio Arce. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Rodolfo Ursino replaced Godfredo Quinteros. A collision led to FC Wingspan getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Hans Uter hit a great ball. When Ildefonso Ortle came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Gaviotas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Ortle couldn't finish the play. A collision led to FC Wingspan getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Axel Bammerman hit a great ball. After 69 minutes, Santiago Oliverio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gaviotas FC and the FC Wingspan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gaviotas FC's Santiago Oliverio got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ildefonso Ortle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mats Eckegren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Fabian Jonsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaviotas FC's Gavino Luke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute, Axel Bammerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingo Quinto, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Ildefonso Ortle came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Gaviotas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Ortle couldn't finish the play. Axel Bammerman kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Domingo Quinto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mats Eckegren skillfully saved the ball. Ildefonso Ortle might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mats Eckegren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Ortle ran back to his position shaking his head. Ildefonso Ortle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Wingspan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gaviotas FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
