After 29 minutes of play, Fotbal Club Vaslui's Aurel Halipa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matías Teles made a kick off. Andrei Vârjean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Inácio Marquez made a huge save. Dinamo Colorado made a substitution. Angelo Damião replaced Wellington Torres. 72 minutes into the match, Dinamo Colorado's goalkeeper Inácio Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrei Vârjean. When Augusto Alvarenga fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Gigel Rânceanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Matías Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gigel Rânceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fotbal Club Vaslui's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
