Martien van Boxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Sewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Darin Marks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Blikman in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Marcos Sewell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Martien van Boxel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Bobby Fisher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Pipon Pipon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After having played for 37 minutes, Nathan Zegers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Benefica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathan Zegers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the game, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Marcos Sewell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martien van Boxel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C. A. Pipon Pipon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
