If Horacio Harriet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Motu fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Motu's Horacio Harriet looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Motu's zone, Arturo Acevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Abeita came out of the goal and Arturo Acevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute, Arturo Acevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 played minutes Motu got a freekick which was hit by Roque Etxekopar. Horacio Harriet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Argi having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Rainerio during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Rainerio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Benito Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Harriet in the 34th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Arturo Acevedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Eliseo Abeita to make any attempt to save it. Joel Rainerio kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Motu's Eliseo Abeita got control of the ball when Arturo Acevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Joel Rainerio made in the 52nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ezequiel Leizarraga. After 56 minutes, Miguel Porfiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motu and the SOUTH THUNDER players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Arturo Acevedo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the SOUTH THUNDER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Acevedo couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, Motu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Etxekopar to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SOUTH THUNDER getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ezequiel Leizarraga hit a great ball. After 73 minutes, Isidoro Godoy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SOUTH THUNDER and the Motu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Isidoro Godoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Horacio Harriet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Horacio Harriet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motu's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Harriet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Argi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute of the match, Horacio Harriet got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benito Argi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Motu succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SOUTH THUNDER had controlled the match.
