Francisco Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atilla Tarkan Enfal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Novaes in the 44th minute of play. Almir Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güral Vecih in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of Samsunspor booed when RWD Molenbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Güral Vecih made the kick off in the second half. Cenap Sarıcabay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Novaes couldn't finish the play. Almir Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Güral Vecih in the 65th minute of play. Almir Diniz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Deniz Çalkın went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tomé Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomé Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes RWD Molenbeek got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Nogueira. Almir Diniz came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Cenap Sarıcabay. But to his dismay, Cenap Sarıcabay quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. RWD Molenbeek's Almir Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güral Vecih in the 86th minute of play. Ronaldo Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilla Tarkan Enfal having to interfere. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when Samsunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasım Sermet didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Samsunspor fans cheered their team off the field, for while RWD Molenbeek had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
