Samuel Jonasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Almir Diniz made a huge save. Almir Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henric Hellström, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Lars-Erik Bergsten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Hellström in the 40th minute of play forced RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Almir Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klas Söderkvist in the 45th minute of play forced RWD Molenbeek's goalkeeper Almir Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RWD Molenbeek's Almir Diniz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of White Hart Lane booed when RWD Molenbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almir Diniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Hellström in the 56th minute of the match. RWD Molenbeek's Almir Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henric Hellström in the 57th minute of play. After 59 played minutes RWD Molenbeek got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Simão. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Novaes in the 68th minute of play forced White Hart Lane's goalkeeper David Håning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Perezs short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got David Håning to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 71st minute Fabinho Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Håning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Fabinho Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Perez struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. David Håning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RWD Molenbeek. Lars-Erik Bergsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of RWD Molenbeek booed when White Hart Lane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Bergsten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erivaldo Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in White Hart Lane reached it. In the 89th minute, Klas Söderkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The White Hart Lane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 94 minutes into the game, when Bengt Abrahamsson put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of White Hart Lane:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RWD Molenbeek:s goal. The referee gave RWD Molenbeek a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vânderson Santana, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of White Hart Lane's David Håning. 4-1. White Hart Lane's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
