Carmelo Nikola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Hayri Ülkem in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the game, Leonardo Vedillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salmuera CP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Samsunspor the free kick. Leonardo Vedillo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Raebert during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute Eusebio Paskal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilla Tarkan Enfal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Eusebio Paskal sped through Samsunspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Atilla Tarkan Enfal. After 32 played minutes Samsunspor got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Tolga Duha. In the 32nd minute, Samuel Gorbea sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Samsunspor's Atilla Tarkan Enfal didn't even have to move. In the 35th minute, Ulaş Alan made a precise shot to the right of Carmelo Nikola. Salmuera CP's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Kerem Ceceli hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Paskal in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atilla Tarkan Enfal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

After 51 played minutes Samsunspor got a freekick which was hit by Ismail Ceceli. Atilla Tarkan Enfal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Gorbea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Paskal hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Deniz Geylanoğullarından fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Nikola having to interfere. With 60 minutes on the clock, Victorino Hechter commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Salmuera CP:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Samsunspor:s goal. The referee gave Samsunspor a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Korkut Dirican, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Salmuera CP's Carmelo Nikola. 3-1. Salmuera CP's Carmelo Nikola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güral Vecih in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Abdülhak Zeynelabidin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atilla Tarkan Enfal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Lucian in the 74th minute of play. Ubaldo Raebert kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Güral Vecih notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Salmuera CP's Carmelo Nikola. Carmelo Nikola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Salmuera CP booed when Samsunspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdülhak Zeynelabidin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerem Ceceli to maneuver through the defense. When Ovidio Lucian came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Salmuera CP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Lucian couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Pasqual got free with Atilla Tarkan Enfal in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Salmuera CP players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Samsunspor.
