Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Octavio Txatxu took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. got a freekick which was hit by Leal Leitão. Hamilton Poças made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Gabino in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Stronghold S.A's Santiago Bihar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Santiago Bihar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Stronghold S.A protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Santiago Bihar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 6 minutes into the game, one of Stronghold S.A:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marcos Mourão scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bartolo Chepe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11thth minute of the game Silvano Morais who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stronghold S.A's Bartolo Chepe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. booed when Stronghold S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Lawrence didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 minutes of play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Silvano Morais made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bartolo Chepe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Octavio Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stronghold S.A's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Veríssimo Castilho was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s players had a chance to rest. Bartolo Chepe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Morais in the 22nd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Marcos Mourão in the 23rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Apolo Cordera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Hamilton Poças tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Chepe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Leal Leitão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Txatxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamilton Poças having to interfere. Octavio Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Serafim Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Chepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes Stronghold S.A got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Cordera. A collision led to Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Laércio Vasques hit a great ball. Bartolo Chepe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Mourão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Mourão to make the kick off. Bartolo Chepe made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Guilherme Branco sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Stronghold S.A getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jacinto Lawrence hit a great ball. Stronghold S.A's Bartolo Chepe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Stronghold S.A from getting a goal against them. Octavio Txatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hamilton Poças tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stronghold S.A's Bartolo Chepe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Stronghold S.A from getting a goal against them. Stronghold S.A's Bartolo Chepe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Mourão in the 72nd minute of play. Bartolo Chepe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Morais in the 74th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Guilherme Branco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bartolo Chepe. That made the score 0-3 in the 81 minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Stronghold S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Txatxu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Morais got free with Bartolo Chepe in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bartolo Chepe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Elvio Elorri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Stronghold S.A supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Sporting Clube V.R.S.A..
