Jeremias Orzaize was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeremias Orzaize didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateo Blanco went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Vampiros Aztecas booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Oxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Rik came free, but Feliberto Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vampiros Aztecas's Jonas Rik got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vampiros Aztecas's Mario Peli got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruben Garin kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Blanco in the 34th minute of play forced Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Jeremias Orzaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in La Zabaleta's zone, Jonas Rik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliberto Bittor came out of the goal and Jonas Rik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Rik came free, but Feliberto Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Oxel got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gregorio Chuse. After 46 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Nafarroa. After the first half La Zabaleta were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Rik to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute, Haroldo Nafarroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidro Adrio kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Jeremias Orzaize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Blanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mateo Blanco came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the La Zabaleta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Blanco couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Ruben Garin notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of La Zabaleta's Feliberto Bittor. Feliberto Bittor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
