Epifanio Etxatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Rik in the 19th minute of play. Epifanio Etxatxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Rik in the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Villa Mitre City getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Adan Rufo hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes Villa Mitre City got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Orti. Epifanio Etxatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Garin in the 34th minute of play. Jeremias Orzaize came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Mitre City's Marcelo Mendiko. But to his dismay, Marcelo Mendiko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jeremias Orzaize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Calisto, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Marcelo Mendiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Orzaize having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Mendiko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Orzaize was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The supporters of Villa Mitre City booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Cordarius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Marcelo Mendiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Orzaize saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabricio Gervaso during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Enzo Cordarius kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre City's Adan Rufo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Ruben Garin struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Epifanio Etxatxu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vampiros Aztecas. After some careless play in the Vampiros Aztecas defense, Marcelo Mendiko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Orzaize. The Vampiros Aztecas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Orzaize should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Mendiko in the 65th minute of play forced Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Jeremias Orzaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Villa Mitre City's Marcelo Mendiko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeremias Orzaize made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Norberto Calisto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Norberto Calisto struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jeremias Orzaize didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villa Mitre City. In the 94th minute Marcelo Mendiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Orzaize saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Villa Mitre City had played much better football throughout.
