Fausto Oxel's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Lanus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Oxel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, La Zabaleta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Oxel to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute of the match Clemente Bingen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Feliberto Bittor skillfully saved the ball. In the 9th minute, Silvestre Ranolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliberto Bittor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Gaizkine in the 12th minute. Feliberto Bittor came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Lanus's Victorio Tanio. But to his dismay, Victorio Tanio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Zacarias Herauso fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Zabaleta's protests and gave Zacarias Herauso a yellow card for diving instead. Zacarias Herauso kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Tanio came free, but Feliberto Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Ranolfo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Lanus's Andres Gaizkine slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Feliberto Bittor. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. Luciano Martxot kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Victorio Tanio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Feliberto Bittor. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 37th minute, Club Atletico Lanus's Juan Olando ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Feliberto Bittor. Feliberto Bittor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. La Zabaleta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Hector Francis scored to the left of an out of position Feliberto Bittor, making the score, 5-0. After some careless play in the La Zabaleta defense, Clemente Bingen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliberto Bittor. The La Zabaleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliberto Bittor should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andres Gaizkine to strike the kick off in the second half. Feliberto Bittor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Bingen went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Feliberto Bittor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Tanio in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Luciano Martxot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Teofilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zacarias Herauso in the 64th minute of the match. Zacarias Herauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Teofilio having to interfere. Diego Montae kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. La Zabaleta's Feliberto Bittor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Tanio in the 70th minute of play. When Guido Eleder fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Lanus's protests and gave Guido Eleder a yellow card for diving instead. 78 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Bingen came free, but Feliberto Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luciano Martxot fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Zabaleta's protests and gave Luciano Martxot a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atletico Lanus booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Martxot didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Feliberto Bittor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Tanio came free, but Feliberto Bittor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Bittor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Bingen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 minutes, Hector Francis made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. La Zabaleta's Feliberto Bittor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Atletico Lanus's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
