Andres Gaizkine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Epifanio Etxatxu made a huge save. Victorio Tanio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Etxatxu having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Alberto Orti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villa Mitre City and the Club Atletico Lanus players grew even worse after the yellow card.
