Gică Panaiteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdzislaw Puchlik, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Borys Biraga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Wieliczka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Benedykt Joks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Muscaș in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Wieliczka defense, Victor Muscaș kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedykt Joks. The FC Wieliczka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedykt Joks should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute of the match Iustin Hănescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedykt Joks skillfully saved the ball. In the 33rd minute, Borys Biraga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Wieliczka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Costică Popa's late challenge caught a FC Wieliczka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costică Popa helped the player get up and apologised. Codruț Giurcă struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Benedykt Joks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Raureni Academy. Cazimir Traian scored 3-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedykt Joks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 48 minutes into the match, Victor Muscaș notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of FC Wieliczka's Benedykt Joks. Benedykt Joks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zdzislaw Puchlik to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Muscaș in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedykt Joks saved FC Wieliczka from getting behind. After 55 minutes, Bernard Czciborek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Wieliczka and the Raureni Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when FC Wieliczka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Czciborek didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Mikolaj Gardocki threw the ball into play from the sideline. Raureni Academy's Cazimir Traian quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Raureni Academy's Iustin Hănescu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benedykt Joks but with some difficulty. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when FC Wieliczka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Purzycki didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Muscaș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benedykt Joks. That made the score 3-4 in the 60 minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, FC Wieliczka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerzy Domarecki to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, FC Wieliczka's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Muscaș came free, but Benedykt Joks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Costică Popa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Igor Purzycki kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, FC Wieliczka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Purzycki to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Costică Popa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Benedykt Joks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Victor Muscaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedykt Joks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilie Plop made in the 86th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Codruț Giurcă however managed to control. If Victor Muscaș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, FC Wieliczka's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Giurcă came free, but Benedykt Joks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Codruț Giurcă fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benedykt Joks, passed just outside the right post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Raureni Academy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
