Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Octavio Senio started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justavino Cortez got free with Rafael Martino in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Rafael Martino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justavino Cortez. When Club Sportivo Italiano's Octavio Senio in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Philotimo's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when FC Philotimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Martines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quiñónez Louzara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Senio in the 14th minute of play. Severo Misael charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severo Misael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Severo Misael. Ximenes Coz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Senio in the 21st minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Quiñónez Louzara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvio Machado in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Quiñónez Louzara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Elvio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quiñónez Louzara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Octavio Senio in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Quiñónez Louzara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, FC Philotimo's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Torres came free, but Quiñónez Louzara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quiñónez Louzara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Torres in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Justavino Cortez made the kick off in the second half. Héctor Lloret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Justavino Cortez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Philotimo's Quiñónez Louzara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Machado in the 59th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Eugenio Graus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Philotimo and the Club Sportivo Italiano players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when FC Philotimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Graus didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Misael in the 64th minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Quiñónez Louzara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Emilio Naike got a free kick in the 66th minute. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Octavio Senio took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Quiñónez Louzara to make any attempt to save it. Blandón Veladiez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Rafael Martino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Amadeo Oxel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Sportivo Italiano's Elvio Machado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Quiñónez Louzara. That made the score 0-2 after 81 minutes of play. Eugenio Braojos kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Quiñónez Louzara acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emilio Naike. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Amadeo Oxel got a free kick in the 90th minute. Quiñónez Louzara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Torres went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Quiñónez Louzara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Senio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Sportivo Italiano walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
