Eli Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Leal in the 15th minute of play. GreenUnited's Eli Villalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Proença in the 17th minute of play. George Neuer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Macario Runs in the 19th minute. Eli Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael de Godoi in the 22nd minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Rafael de Godoi made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. GreenUnited's Eli Villalobos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the GreenUnited defense, Bernardo Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eli Villalobos. The GreenUnited fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eli Villalobos should have stopped the shot. After 40 minutes, Gabrio Dozal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GreenUnited and the Three Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes GreenUnited got a freekick which was hit by Gabrio Dozal. When Three Lions FC's Rafael de Godoi in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye GreenUnited's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Mathias Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eli Villalobos was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael de Godoi got free with Eli Villalobos in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Álvaro Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Rafael de Godoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Three Lions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GreenUnited the free kick. Eli Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Gonçalves in the 78th minute of the match. Eli Villalobos made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Bernardo Leal sent off a good shot on target. Eli Villalobos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Leal in the 81st minute. When Lain Bejarano fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
