Mathias Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timmy Albohm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Three Lions FC defense, Frank Östman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Neuer. The Three Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Neuer should have stopped the shot. George Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Östman, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to Three Lions FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mathias Gonçalves hit a great ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Olenberg was the one to do the kick off. Álvaro Proença struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Timmy Albohm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Three Lions FC. Sakarias Bergsten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but George Neuer made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernt Nyman during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Timmy Albohm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiano Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of BK Ugglan booed when Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. The BK Ugglan players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
