With a left leg Eli Villalobos saved GreenUnited from getting behind. With a little luck, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Hélder de Queiroz got control of the ball when Txeru Montaña tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, GreenUnited's Berasko Gordo got a free kick in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Neves during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alessandro Neves hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of 20 DE SETEMBRO booed when GreenUnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabrio Dozal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis Corrêa came free, but Eli Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of 20 DE SETEMBRO booed when GreenUnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gartzen Pons didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Claudinei de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the 20 DE SETEMBRO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei de Andrade couldn't finish the play. Eli Villalobos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wágner Miranda went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 26 played minutes 20 DE SETEMBRO got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Neves. After having played for 41 minutes, Wágner Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 20 DE SETEMBRO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of 20 DE SETEMBRO booed when GreenUnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Txeru Montaña didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Clóvis Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Wágner Miranda got in the 55th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Eli Villalobos handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Elija Andres hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Luiz Guilherme Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Vitório Martins kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eli Villalobos. That made the score 1-2 in the 65 minute of play. Eli Villalobos was a little too slow when Clóvis Corrêa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-3. Hélder de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elija Andres, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Clóvis Corrêa took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eli Villalobos. Eli Villalobos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Wágner Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 DE SETEMBRO played a much better game than GreenUnited and deserved their victory. The GreenUnited players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
