After 2 minutes, Jacindo Llantaron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GreenUnited and the Three Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacindo Llantaron kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Bernardo Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Three Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael de Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eli Villalobos came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael de Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. In the 17th minute, Three Lions FC's Rafael de Godoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eli Villalobos. Eli Villalobos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 23 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael de Godoi came free, but Eli Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eli Villalobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael de Godoi in the 26th minute of the match. Gabrio Dozal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Macario Runs scored 3-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Neuer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eli Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael de Godoi in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabrio Dozal to make the kick off. Eli Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Pirani in the 53rd minute of play. Domenico Solarriba was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of GreenUnited:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Three Lions FC:s goal. The referee gave Three Lions FC a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guto Brodel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of GreenUnited's Eli Villalobos. 4-1. Eli Villalobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Gonçalves in the 71st minute of play. After 72 played minutes GreenUnited got a freekick which was hit by Gartzen Pons. In the 78th minute Guto Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eli Villalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernardo Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eli Villalobos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Macario Runs hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes GreenUnited got a freekick which was hit by Jacindo Llantaron. 92 minutes into the match, Álvaro Proença had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eli Villalobos. GreenUnited's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Álvaro Proença was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1.
