A collision led to FC Philotimo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Blandón Veladiez hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Graus during the 47th minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Three Lions FC reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafael de Godoi to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Rafael de Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matias Morquecho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Blandón Veladiez hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. During the 61st minute of the match Anangonó Villabedon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anangonó Villabedon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Fabiano Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Three Lions FC's Matias Morquecho threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mathias Gonçalves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Matias Morquecho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bernardo Leal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 86 minute of play. In the 89th minute Álvaro Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Morquecho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Morquecho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Bernardo Leal came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Matias Morquecho could save by the left post.
