The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Bradaigh Silke took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Matias Morquecho to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to FC Philotimo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Marcelo Martines hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Bradaigh Silke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Matias Morquecho, 2-0. Peadair Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Morquecho having to interfere. FC Philotimo's Matias Morquecho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradaigh Silke in the 18th minute of play. Matias Morquecho made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Peadair Dempsey sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Bradaigh Silke sped through FC Philotimo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Matias Morquecho. Bivadi McJohnny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justavino Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bivadi McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justavino Cortez in the 32nd minute of play. Bradaigh Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Matias Morquecho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bivadi McJohnny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justavino Cortez, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Justavino Cortez made the kick off in the second half. The FC Philotimo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Morquecho should have stopped the shot. The Uí Fergusa fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Uí Fergusa's Bradaigh Silke looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Matias Morquecho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradaigh Silke, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Bannon Gollogley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Morquecho having to interfere.
