The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clemente Abalos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Quintun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Eriberto Fertus charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Fertus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Viento Norte FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Javiar Abadia hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Viento Norte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elazar Abaurre came free, but Tomás Quintun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Javiar Abadia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Quintun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Eriberto Fertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes Pepsi Fuchibol Clu got a freekick which was hit by Olivar Abel. Domingo Abeijon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Honorato Tancredo. Tomás Quintun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javiar Abadia in the 40th minute of the match. Elazar Abaurre struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Tomás Quintun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pepsi Fuchibol Clu. Viento Norte FC's Tomás Quintun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javiar Abadia in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Lauaxeta made a kick off. Olivar Abel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Elazar Abaurre got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Eulalio Lauaxeta fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viento Norte FC's protests and gave Eulalio Lauaxeta a yellow card for diving instead. Eulalio Lauaxeta kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Elazar Abaurre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elazar Abaurre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Javiar Abadia fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's protests and gave Javiar Abadia a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Viento Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Pagomari. Elazar Abaurre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, one of Pepsi Fuchibol Clu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
