After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Tony Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cestarolli FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serafino Polo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abelardo Raitin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Laércio de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Abelardo Raitin fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WINNING ELEVEN's protests and gave Abelardo Raitin a yellow card for diving instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adan Francho to make the kick off. Laércio de Almeida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Erramu in the 56th minute. After 62 played minutes Cestarolli FC got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Valle. After a rather tough play, Cestarolli FC's Júlio Souza got a free kick in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the game, one of Cestarolli FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute Rigoberto Hechter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laércio de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Santana came free, but Laércio de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laércio de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Hechter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
