In the 6th match minute, Desportivo Coala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Berger to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Hermes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Leguizamón in the 8th minute of play forced Desportivo Coala's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Basilio Mateus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Mateus came free, but Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Siro Elazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Basilio Mateus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience was convinced that Siro Elazar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siro Elazar went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. If Siro Elazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Mateus in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ricardo Netto made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Desportivo Coala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Cirilo Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Elazar got free with Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Siro Elazar sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siro Elazar went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. 66 minutes into the match, Siro Elazar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo, 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Sarmiento de Resistencia's Siro Elazar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo. That made the score 0-8 after 75 minutes of play. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Mateus in the 86th minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Rodolfo Mambru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento de Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Mambru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Siro Elazar sent off a good shot on target. In the 95thth minute of the game Siro Elazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desportivo Coala's Carlos Eduardo Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sarmiento de Resistencia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
