The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Téo de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Pindobassu EC booed when Austra 04 VFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Miguel Trigo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fabiano Porto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pindobassu EC's Kaká Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno de Castro in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute, Bruno de Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kaká Maia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Fabiano Porto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Trigo went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. José Carlos Prestes charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Carlos Prestes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. José Carlos Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Austra 04 VFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo de Salles to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Miguel Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabiano Porto was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The corner ended in Vladimir Motta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Austra 04 VFC's Fabiano Porto did a great save. After having played for 41 minutes, Téo de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Austra 04 VFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo de Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Maia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Trigo in the 45th minute of play forced Austra 04 VFC's goalkeeper Fabiano Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Jano Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

After having played for 53 minutes, Miguel Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Austra 04 VFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Bertassi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Miguel Bertassi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pindobassu EC's Kaká Maia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sandrinho Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Austra 04 VFC's Emerson Munhoz was substituted for Luís Fábio do Valle. In the 67th minute, Sandrinho Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Porto was a little too slow when Vladimir Motta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Pindobassu EC's Raimundo Velasco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabiano Porto. That made the score 1-4 after 75 minutes of play. After 89 minutes, Téo de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Austra 04 VFC and the Pindobassu EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cauã Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Pindobassu EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
