Kennet Åhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Inge, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, IFK Kik's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Romano came free, but Kennet Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 minutes, Ariel Romano made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. IFK Kik's Kennet Åhlberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Nils-Åke Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Romano in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kennet Åhlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Egon Åkerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Melquiades Patxi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anders Jakobsson hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Denis Guerrero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kennet Åhlberg. IFK Kik's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Ariel Romano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of IFK Kik's Kennet Åhlberg. Kennet Åhlberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 43 played minutes IFK Kik got a freekick which was hit by Birger Fastesson. When Ariel Romano came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the EL PEPO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ariel Romano couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Tomás Satordi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils-Åke Kruuse to make the kick off. Melquiades Patxi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egon Åkerström in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Rikard Wik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Herauso's late challenge caught a IFK Kik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
