The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário da Rocha got free with Gabriel Vela in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 7 minutes into the game, Norberto Inocente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ATE AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventus EC the free kick. The supporters of Juventus EC booed when ATE AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Inocente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in ATE AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Gabriel Vela went to the wrong direction when Afonso Luz was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 33rd minute Romário da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Juventus EC booed when ATE AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Liberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Vela was a little too slow when Frederico Recife got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genaro Abad to make the kick off. When Genaro Abad in the 84th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Mateus de Senna kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 6-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole.
