Spectators: 7472 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adhemar da Fonseca kicked off to start the match. Lúcio dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. XV de Indaial's Lúcio dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar da Fonseca in the 6th minute of play. After some careless play in the XV de Indaial defense, Serginho Dionísio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio dos Santos. The XV de Indaial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio dos Santos should have stopped the shot. After 12 played minutes XV de Indaial got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Pinho. Serginho Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Lúcio dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Silva's late challenge caught a Xurupita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Silva helped the player get up and apologised. Adelino Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Lúcio dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho Dionísio in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Yan Rosado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio dos Santos was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Laerte Souto's late challenge caught a Xurupita FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laerte Souto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Xurupita FC booed when XV de Indaial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lúcio dos Santos came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Xurupita FC's Serginho Dionísio. But to his dismay, Serginho Dionísio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Duarte Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, Duarte Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, XV de Indaial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Britto to maneuver through the defense. Adhemar da Fonseca might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio dos Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adhemar da Fonseca ran back to his position shaking his head. After 46 minutes of play, Xurupita FC's Adhemar da Fonseca made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lúcio dos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Xurupita FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Laércio Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Xurupita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Egídio Pirani came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by XV de Indaial's Duarte Veiga. But to his dismay, Duarte Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 68th minute Eliézer Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Pirani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Silva in the 73rd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Adhemar da Fonseca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lúcio dos Santos. Adhemar da Fonseca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. If Serginho Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Christian Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xurupita FC's Yan Rosado shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Lúcio dos Santos but with some difficulty. In the 87th minute, Marcus Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adhemar da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Lúcio dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xurupita FC. After having played for 91 minutes, Serginho Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xurupita FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho Dionísio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lúcio dos Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adhemar da Fonseca in the 93rd minute. The XV de Indaial fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Xurupita FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
