The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Ferdinand Bauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Cipriano Martino got a free kick in the 8th minute. Spencer Salas kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Oswaldo Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Flavio Urbez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without J.P. Marion having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Roy Huston managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Huston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Kinsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute Roy Huston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Cipriano Martino got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Roy Huston made a precise shot to the right of Edgardo Kinsen. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Flavio Urbez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without J.P. Marion having to interfere. In the 45th minute Roy Huston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Kinsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Palben was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Benedicto Lobo got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th match minute, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Martino to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinand Bauer kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Aurelio Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Spencer Salas during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Spencer Salas hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goal looked a bit too open when Roy Huston came free, but Edgardo Kinsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, one of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, C. A. Independiente's Boyd Ashley got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgardo Kinsen. Edgardo Kinsen was a little too slow when Roy Huston got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Independiente's zone, Benedicto Lobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. J.P. Marion came out of the goal and Benedicto Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Ferdinand Bauer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Kinsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 95 minutes into the game, Camilo Palben was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Independiente the free kick. Camilo Palben hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. C. A. Independiente's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
