Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience was convinced that Aldo Ekain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvério Cruz was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, Aldo Ekain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valério Valle to make the kick off. If Valério Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vivaldo Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd match minute, Chacarita Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Cefero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Jean de Andrade threw the ball into play from the sideline. The referee gave Aldo Ekain a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 80th match minute, Chacarita Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Cefero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vivaldo Senna in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Vivaldo Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lenílson Coutinho made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Valério Valle.
