A hard shot by Steve Verbeek from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Gilson Arósio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 11th minute, Steve Verbeek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilson Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berend Tigelaar in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Lago in the 14th minute of play forced SV Balverliefd's goalkeeper Maurice Sybring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Lago in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurice Sybring saved SV Balverliefd from getting behind. Maurice Sybring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Cícero Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Cícero Ribeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maurice Sybring. SV Balverliefd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cícero Ribeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, SV Balverliefd's Lukas Heeringa got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 31st minute, Bruno Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes Pombal 2003 F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Duarte. Gilson Arósio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Steve Verbeek. In the 37th minute, Duarte Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Folker Schreuder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Cícero Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Sybring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cícero Ribeiro in the 42nd minute of play. Toninho Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SV Balverliefd booed when Pombal 2003 F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berend Tigelaar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Berend Tigelaar came free, but Gilson Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Ritsma charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roland Ritsma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Cícero Ribeiro made a precise shot to the right of Maurice Sybring. SV Balverliefd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 76 minutes into the game, Bruno Lago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maurice Sybring. Bruno Lago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Toninho Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Maurice Sybring made a huge save. Bruno Lago's late challenge caught a SV Balverliefd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Lago helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Lago hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 91 minutes of play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Toninho Duarte made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurice Sybring was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute, Berend Tigelaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SV Balverliefd's Maurice Sybring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Lago in the 98th minute of play. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
