The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Di Giovanni in the 5th minute of play forced Finninge Fotboll's goalkeeper Magne Axelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magne Axelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Di Giovanni went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the game, Abelardo Lizbeth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club de la Serpiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Finninge Fotboll the free kick. In the 13th minute, Abelardo Lizbeth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Club de la Serpiente getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Abelardo Lizbeth hit a great ball. Magne Axelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Di Giovanni in the 22nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Di Giovanni in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magne Axelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 played minutes Club de la Serpiente got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Iyan. Santo Cayo came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Finninge Fotboll's John Larsson. But to his dismay, John Larsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Santo Cayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Larsson's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The supporters of Finninge Fotboll booed when Club de la Serpiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Lizbeth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magne Axelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Madaleno in the 42nd minute of the match. Finninge Fotboll's Magne Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Iyan in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Di Giovanni was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Magne Axelsson managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Club de la Serpiente's Severino Di Giovanni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 57 minutes into the game, Severino Di Giovanni cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Magne Axelsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Severino Di Giovanni took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magne Axelsson. Magne Axelsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ruperto Madaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Finninge Fotboll's John Larsson in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club de la Serpiente's goalie prevented a goal. 80 minutes into the game, Denis Cambranes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
