It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. When Ferdinando Punta fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.S. Ian Fenomeni's protests and gave Ferdinando Punta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Ferdinando Punta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, SV Balverliefd's Folker Schreuder got a free kick in the 14th minute. Roland Ritsma made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jelle Jonge. Ferruccio Castronovo struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Maurice Sybring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.S. Ian Fenomeni. A collision led to A.S. Ian Fenomeni getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ferdinando Punta hit a great ball. After 23 played minutes, SV Balverliefd's Folker Schreuder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Concetto Vasco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SV Balverliefd reached it. The supporters of A.S. Ian Fenomeni booed when SV Balverliefd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwin Senden didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th match minute, A.S. Ian Fenomeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Alessandro to maneuver through the defense. When SV Balverliefd's Folker Schreuder, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. Berend Tigelaar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Concetto Vasco firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Nicolini to strike the kick off in the second half. Concetto Vasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Heeringa in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, SV Balverliefd's Maurice Sybring got control of the ball when Dave Nicolini tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Folker Schreuder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Concetto Vasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Dave Nicolini fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Maurice Sybring, passed just outside the right post. 79 minutes into the match, SV Balverliefd's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Nicolini came free, but Maurice Sybring reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurice Sybring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Nicolini in the 82nd minute of play. Edoardo Pelati might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurice Sybring. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edoardo Pelati ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurice Sybring was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Dave Nicolini capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dave Nicolini really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The supporters of A.S.
