Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Norberto de Carvalho hit a great ball. If Reginaldo Seixas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the game, Sérgio Dante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Severiano Espinosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Vander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severiano Espinosa having to make a save. Percival Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Severiano Espinosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caio dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Seixas in the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Marinho to maneuver through the defense. Sérgio Dante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Severiano Espinosa made a huge save. Severiano Espinosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eurico Mazza's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After 27 minutes, Roger Rossi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maverick Futebol Clube and the ZEZOM TEAM players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Roger Rossi hit a great ball. If Timóteo Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Reginaldo Seixas came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the ZEZOM TEAM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reginaldo Seixas couldn't finish the play. Severiano Espinosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percival Marinho in the 32nd minute. Maverick Futebol Clube's Caio dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Seixas in the 41st minute of play. When Roger Rossi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. Roger Rossi hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Dante to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Seixas in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caio dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reginaldo Seixas to strike the kick off in the second half. Severiano Espinosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percival Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the game, Sálvio Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZEZOM TEAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maverick Futebol Clube the free kick. In the 54th match minute, ZEZOM TEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sálvio Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Seixas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Caio dos Santos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Silvério Almeida's late challenge caught a ZEZOM TEAM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvério Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Silvério Almeida got a free kick in the 57th minute. When Reginaldo Seixas, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 59 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Caio dos Santos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 60th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Dante to maneuver through the defense. Percival Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maverick Futebol Clube's Pedro Vander got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Espinosa having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percival Marinho during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Percival Marinho hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When ZEZOM TEAM's Reginaldo Seixas, in the 76th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for ZEZOM TEAM. If Eurico Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurico Mazza struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Severiano Espinosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maverick Futebol Clube. The supporters of Maverick Futebol Clube booed when ZEZOM TEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sálvio Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eurico Mazza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severiano Espinosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. When Sálvio Cruz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, ZEZOM TEAM's Sálvio Cruz got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 94 played minutes, Maverick Futebol Clube's Percival Marinho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severiano Espinosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maverick Futebol Clube reached it. After having played for 96 minutes, Laureano Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZEZOM TEAM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laureano Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Maverick Futebol Clube were the better team. Maverick Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
