Spectators: 7462 (Terracing: 5597, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Timoteo Gonzo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Luciano Presebal came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Argentinos Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Presebal couldn't finish the play. Timoteo Gonzo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Angel Iraunkor made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Angel Iraunkor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Presebal. Dogo Argentino's Angel Iraunkor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Itzaina in the 13th minute of play. When Baldomiro Furman fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dogo Argentino's protests and gave Baldomiro Furman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Baldomiro Furman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dogo Argentino's Angel Iraunkor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Dogo Argentino from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute, Timoteo Gonzo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angel Iraunkor. The goal made the score 1-0. Salvador Itzaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Angel Iraunkor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Ubarna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Laffitte in the 54th minute of play forced Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Angel Iraunkor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th match minute, Dogo Argentino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Endura to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Dogo Argentino's zone, Salvador Itzaina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Iraunkor came out of the goal and Salvador Itzaina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Gonzo in the 58th minute of play forced Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Angel Iraunkor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Timoteo Gonzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angel Iraunkor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Angel Iraunkor came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Argentinos Juniors's Israel Shepherd. But to his dismay, Israel Shepherd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 79th minute, Salvador Itzaina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 83 minutes, Severiano Mikeldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Argentinos Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Mikeldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Leandro Ubarna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dogo Argentino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentinos Juniors the free kick. The supporters of Argentinos Juniors booed when Dogo Argentino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Ubarna didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Argentinos Juniors fully deserved thier win.
