The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Namık Kemal Refettin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerlach Rogatty in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes ASLANAS got a freekick which was hit by Kamer Dilhan. The supporters of KFC Uerdingen 05 booed when ASLANAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enis Behiç Ogün didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Gerlach Rogatty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Namık Kemal Refettin. ASLANAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerlach Rogatty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Gerlach Rogatty notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ASLANAS's Namık Kemal Refettin. Namık Kemal Refettin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the game, Friedemann Brede was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Uerdingen 05's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASLANAS the free kick. Friedemann Brede kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Anıl Cenk Sufi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ante Buchberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Numan Vural could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Ante Buchberger made a huge save. Mustafa Numan Vural fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ante Buchberger having to interfere. In the 38th minute Edgar Rau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Namık Kemal Refettin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerlach Rogatty in the 39th minute of play forced ASLANAS's goalkeeper Namık Kemal Refettin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anıl Cenk Sufi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mustafa Numan Vural could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ante Buchberger made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anıl Cenk Sufi made a kick off. Namık Kemal Refettin made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Edgar Rau sent off a good shot on target. Mustafa Numan Vural recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ASLANAS's Namık Kemal Refettin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerlach Rogatty in the 54th minute of play. ASLANAS's Hüseyin Turan Taylan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kai Laakmann in the 56 minute of the game. In the 57th minute Anıl Cenk Sufi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ante Buchberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ASLANAS getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Necat Bal hit a great ball. Namık Kemal Refettin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerlach Rogatty, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Enis Behiç Ogün hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Manfred Andrau lost his temper 73 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of KFC Uerdingen 05:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ASLANAS:s goal. The referee gave ASLANAS a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mustafa Numan Vural, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of KFC Uerdingen 05's Ante Buchberger. 2-2. Gerlach Rogattys short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Namık Kemal Refettin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. ASLANAS's attentive Hüseyin Turan Taylan managed to snatch the ball when Kai Laakmann made a throw-in in the 96th minute of the game. Anıl Cenk Sufi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KFC Uerdingen 05 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ASLANAS had controlled the match.
