A collision led to Pangarés FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Léo Quirino hit a great ball. With his leg Osvaldinho Perez managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Sporting de Gijón's Brian Aguirre fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Osvaldinho Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Aguirre in the 14th minute of play. After 15th play minutes Brian Aguirre shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Osvaldinho Perez and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 19th minute, Cacá Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ariel Urbasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Brian Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting de Gijón's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Aguirre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldinho Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sporting de Gijón booed when Pangarés FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelino Pelagius got free with Osvaldinho Perez in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Osvaldinho Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Aguirre in the 27th minute of the match. Brian Aguirres short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Osvaldinho Perez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 29th minute, Kevin Zenón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Carlos Augusto Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pangarés FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Casimiro Galindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Castel. Casimiro Galindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Perez having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Ariel Urbasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Dias. Casimiro Galindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Casimiro Galindo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldinho Perez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 81 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's Teodoro Niva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osvaldinho Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casimiro Galindo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
