Pangarés FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Galati Harbour Cats's Aurel Tolea in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 38th minute, Vali Ghețea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldinho Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vali Ghețea went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Galati Harbour Cats were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vali Ghețea made a kick off. The Galati Harbour Cats fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. George Agachi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Quirino in the 64th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Vali Ghețea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldinho Perez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Pangarés FC's zone, Vali Ghețea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho Perez came out of the goal and Vali Ghețea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Adrian Baldazar sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Osvaldinho Perez threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Adrian Baldazar this time.
