Falcão Paiva succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão Paiva came free, but Franck vrolijx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franck vrolijx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Paiva in the 9th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Pangarés FC's Afonsinho de Senna seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Afonsinho de Senna the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pangarés FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Afonsinho de Senna had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 21st minute Bill Van Gysel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Joannes Grootjans made a precise shot to the right of Rony Antunes. Pangarés FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Falcão Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pangarés FC's Falcão Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Natã Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guto Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Natã Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natã Luz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Rony Antunes managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Royal Antwerp FC's Bill Van Gysel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Falcão Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Franck vrolijx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Pangarés FC's Falcão Paiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franck vrolijx made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Bill Van Gysel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Antunes having to interfere. Rony Antunes made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Bill Van Gysel sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Pangarés FC defense, Jimmy Terreur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Antunes. The Pangarés FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Antunes should have stopped the shot. Natã Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Franck vrolijx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Royal Antwerp FC got a freekick which was hit by Dimitri Braeckman. In the 80th minute, Guga Félix sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Royal Antwerp FC's Franck vrolijx didn't even have to move. Rony Antunes made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Bill Van Gysel sent off a good shot on target. Royal Antwerp FC's Franck vrolijx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Paiva in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Joannes Grootjans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenz Geest during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp FC's Lorenz Geest got a free kick in the 89th minute. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Pangarés FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joannes Grootjans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rony Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
