Ekipa Damcia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Corinthians Paulista the free kick. In the 15th match minute, Ekipa Damcia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tymoteusz Przewozik to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Kazimierz Terasek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ekipa Damcia's Kazimierz Terasek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego da Cunha in the 23rd minute of play. Corinthians Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Alagoano. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugon Nocny to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Adalberto Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.C. Corinthians Paulista's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kazimierz Terasek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kazimierz Terasek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego da Cunha went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. 84 minutes into the match, Ekipa Damcia's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Veloso came free, but Kazimierz Terasek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, one of Ekipa Damcia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 94th minute, Ekipa Damcia's Kryspin Tylinski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luiz Fernando Figueiredo. Luiz Fernando Figueiredo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-5. Ekipa Damcia succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though S.C. Corinthians Paulista had controlled the match.
