Galácticos del Pueblo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renatinho Braga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Renatinho Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bartolo Salomone was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Francisco Garcia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bartolo Salomone was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Artur Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of Desportiva Paulo Afonso booed when Galácticos del Pueblo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Bembe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Fernandinho Paes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Renatinho Braga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bartolo Salomone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Garcia made a kick off. In the 59th minute of the match Artur Rezende sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bartolo Salomone skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Galácticos del Pueblo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Rayman to maneuver through the defense. Renatinho Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Bartolo Salomone made a huge save.
