Octave Follain came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gavião Kyikatejê's Henry Simpson. But to his dismay, Henry Simpson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 40 minutes into the game, Victorien Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 『盛世メ名門』Guerrier Panda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gavião Kyikatejê the free kick. In the 45th minute Norbert Mattei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Gilespie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rod Reidfurd stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oscar Lecacheur charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
