Kahraman Kunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sid Park in the 13th minute of the match. Lokomotiv Bornova's Kahraman Kunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean McAusland in the 17th minute of play. Çağan Demren charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Çağan Demren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lokomotiv Bornova getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Çağan Demren hit a great ball. Henry Simpson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Lokomotiv Bornova booed when Gavião Kyikatejê was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dean McAusland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Laidlaw hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Lokomotiv Bornova's Kahraman Kunter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Lokomotiv Bornova from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Gavião Kyikatejê booed when Lokomotiv Bornova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Hamza Çalkın didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dean McAusland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Kahraman Kunter made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artaç Dalmaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lokomotiv Bornova's Kahraman Kunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ewan Hughes in the 55th minute of play. Hayati Tokyüz took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Max Gilespie. Max Gilespie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Lokomotiv Bornova getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Çağan Demren hit a great ball. Lokomotiv Bornova's Kahraman Kunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean McAusland in the 74th minute of play. Hayati Tokyüz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Max Gilespie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin Laidlaw kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Kahraman Kunter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ewan Hughes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Dean McAusland came free, but Kahraman Kunter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavião Kyikatejê's Dean McAusland got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dean McAusland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kahraman Kunter having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
