The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ruyman Amenábar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Epperson in the 3rd minute of play. With a little luck, Tango en Miami FC's Robbie Kaufman got control of the ball when Xacobo Barbaste tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregorio Epperson took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruyman Amenábar. Ruyman Amenábar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Tango en Miami FC's Robbie Kaufman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoel Prado in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tango en Miami FC's Tyrell Gaston got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute of the match, Yoel Prado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robbie Kaufman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ruyman Amenábar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Herget, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The Tango en Miami FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ruyman Amenábar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Epperson in the 37th minute of play. After the first half Tango en Miami FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The throw-in from Enzo Brotfeld in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tango en Miami FC's Bruce Vogt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Brotfeld in the 57th minute of play forced Tango en Miami FC's goalkeeper Robbie Kaufman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbie Kaufman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoel Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Tango en Miami FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Garzo came free, but Robbie Kaufman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Enzo Brotfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Kaufman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sonny Herget's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruyman Amenábar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Robbie Kaufman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Brotfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Tabalongo AFC's Carlos Manuel Manterola got a free kick in the 75th minute. Yoel Prado took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robbie Kaufman. Robbie Kaufman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 87th minute, Victor Hugo Rouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th match minute, Tango en Miami FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Ragsdale to maneuver through the defense. 90 minutes into the match, Tabalongo AFC's Jacob Garzo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Tango en Miami FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yoel Prado came free, but Robbie Kaufman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tango en Miami FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
