The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teobaldo Ignatius the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atlético Temperley protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teobaldo Ignatius had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Atlético Temperley! Aaron Kvist hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Club Atlético Temperley's Claudio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kennet Bergqvist in the 40th minute of play. Claudio Frances showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Kvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kennet Bergqvist in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudio Frances saved Club Atlético Temperley from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kennet Bergqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Leeds United FC's Kennet Bergqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Claudio Frances. Claudio Frances yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Kennet Bergqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Claudio Frances. That made the score 0-5 in the 77 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Braulio Vito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elliott Levander was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Claudio Frances made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Aaron Kvist sent off a good shot on target. Elliott Levander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Gartxot in the 91st minute of the match. In the 96thth minute of the game Braulio Vito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leeds United FC's Elliott Levander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match was over Leeds United FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Atlético Temperley throughout the match.
