An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Vito in the 3rd minute of play forced B-S-L's goalkeeper Nilson de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute, Lisandro Abeitia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Temperley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Lisandro Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nilson de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilson de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Vincente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 played minutes B-S-L got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Correia. 12 minutes into the match, Braulio Vito notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of B-S-L's Nilson de Amorim. Nilson de Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. João Adolfo Fontes hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, B-S-L's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Abeitia came free, but Nilson de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Ruy de Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. B-S-L's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Temperley the free kick. Ruy de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Lisandro Abeitia made a precise shot to the right of Nilson de Amorim. B-S-L's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 21 played minutes B-S-L got a freekick which was hit by Cido Goiano. Claudio Frances came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by B-S-L's Carlinhos Sergipano. But to his dismay, Carlinhos Sergipano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Nilson de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudio Frances came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by B-S-L's Carlinhos Sergipano. But to his dismay, Carlinhos Sergipano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Nilson de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 minutes of play, Club Atlético Temperley's Braulio Vito made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson de Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Temperley's Braulio Vito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nilson de Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Braulio Vito made the kick off in the second half. Lisandro Abeitia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nilson de Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Lisandro Abeitia slotted it home off the left post making it 2-6 in the 52nd minute. 58 minutes into the match, João Adolfo Fontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Frances. Club Atlético Temperley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Adolfo Fontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-6. 61 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Sergipano came free, but Claudio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When B-S-L's Alexandre Breckenfeld in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Temperley's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Club Atlético Temperley booed when B-S-L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. B-S-L made a substitution. Michel Velloso replaced Carlinhos Sergipano. In the 71st match minute, B-S-L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Goiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Michel Velloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudio Frances was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-6. 79 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy de Amaral came free, but Claudio Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético Temperley's Claudio Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Breckenfeld in the 80th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Ruy de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Club Atlético Temperley supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Atlético Temperley would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
