Hernan Checa made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Braulio Vito sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Alejandro Tavio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bahía é Carnaval getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alejandro Tavio hit a great ball. Francisco Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Checa having to interfere. If Lisandro Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Sergio Sadurni got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 minutes, Lisandro Abeitia made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bahía é Carnaval's Hernan Checa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudio Frances showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Tavio in the 45th minute of the match. If Lisandro Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Vincente hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Braulio Vito to make the kick off. Baldomero Iraitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Abeitia came free, but Hernan Checa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Victoriano Francesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Frances saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernan Checa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Vito's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Bahía é Carnaval's Hernan Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Vito in the 78th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Lisandro Abeitia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hernan Checa. Bahía é Carnaval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Abeitia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Victoriano Francesco hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Club Atlético Temperley could leave the field as winners, despite Bahía é Carnaval having more of the ball for most of the match.
