In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bahía é Carnaval's goalkeeper Hernan Checa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Bahía é Carnaval's Sergio Sadurni nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gates Boeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Hernan Checa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Hägeli in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Alejandro Tavio made a precise shot to the right of Gates Boeck. B O B I S A's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Gates Boeck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Sadurni in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of B O B I S A booed when Bahía é Carnaval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Markel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gates Boeck was a little too slow when Alejandro Tavio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 4-0. The supporters of Bahía é Carnaval booed when B O B I S A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Sennrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sergio Sadurni in the 35th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Gates Boeck kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 5-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Gates Boeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Sadurni, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Sadurni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gates Boeck came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Bahía é Carnaval's Alejandro Tavio. But to his dismay, Alejandro Tavio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 55 minutes into the game, Bahía é Carnaval's Alejandro Tavio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gates Boeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After 59 played minutes Bahía é Carnaval got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Tavio. A collision led to B O B I S A getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Derek Leuenberger hit a great ball. After 62 played minutes B O B I S A got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Hägeli. Alejandro Tavio hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, B O B I S A's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Tavio came free, but Gates Boeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bahía é Carnaval's Hernan Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Domini in the 77th minute of play. Gates Boeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Tavio in the 78th minute of the match. Bahía é Carnaval's Sergio Sadurni got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximilien Gisler's late challenge caught a Bahía é Carnaval's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximilien Gisler helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bahía é Carnaval booed when B O B I S A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilien Gisler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind B O B I S A's goalkeeper Gates Boeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in B O B I S A fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Bahía é Carnaval a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alejandro Tavio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of B O B I S A's Gates Boeck. 8-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Derek Leuenberger got free with Hernan Checa in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bahía é Carnaval fully deserved thier win.
