BAC Belgrano de Cba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astillero del Guayas the free kick. The supporters of Astillero del Guayas booed when BAC Belgrano de Cba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position.
